Our Sustainability strategy

1. Social and environmental sustainability as a corporate value

With the strategic realignment in 2021 and the associated redefinition of our corporate values, we have placed sustainability, which has been important to us for many years, at the strategic focus of our economic activities. “Social and environmental sustainability” is one of the five corporate values that characterize (r)evolution GmbH.

In order to be able to approach our sustainability efforts even more comprehensively and systematically, we have developed and established a sustainability management system within the company over the past 12 months.

We are in close contact with all relevant stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of this system. Only through dialogue with our employees, service providers, customers, and society can we anchor sustainable action permanently and comprehensively in our everyday business. In doing so, we act in accordance with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)[1] and are committed to the 10 principles of the UN Global Compact[2].

2. Our two pillars of sustainability

Our sustainability system is based on two pillars for implementation.

The pillar of environmental sustainability was defined in December 2024 with the Environmental Sustainability Policy and set clear targets for reducing emissions and waste. With a focus on energy consumption, waste prevention and recycling, travel, and procurement, our efforts contribute to UN Goals 11 Sustainable Cities and Communities, 12 Responsible Consumption and Production, and 13 Climate Action. We also act in accordance with Principles 7-9 of the UN Global Compact.

The second pillar was established in June 2025 with the Social Sustainability Policy. With a direct focus on UN Goals 3 Good Health and Well-Being, 4 Quality Education, 5 Gender Equality, 8 Decent Work and Economic Growth, and 10 Reduced Inequalities, we aim to maintain and further expand our already high internal social standards. At the same time, we are holding our service providers and, to an increasing extent, our employees accountable for acting in an economically responsible manner by respecting human rights and preventing any form of discrimination and corruption. With our Supplier Code of Conduct and Compliance Guidelines for Employees, we have also had a framework in place since June 2025 that ensures compliance with principles 1-6 and 10 of the UN Global Compact.

3. Reporting

Transparency is an important part of our sustainability management system. We are therefore committed to presenting the development of our sustainability efforts to all interested stakeholders in an annual sustainability report. The report will be prepared in accordance with the VSME standard to ensure standardization and comparability. At the same time, the sustainability report serves as an internal benchmark for our progress to date and gives us the opportunity to continuously improve.
